Welcome to South Valley Sound Chorus! Our home is the beautiful San Joaquin Valley in California. Bakersfield’s own award-winning chapter of Sweet Adelines International, we are dedicated to the preservation of the American art form of barbershop music.

South Valley Sound is an active chorus of more than 30 members with women ranging from 13 to 78 years of age. We are not what you would consider your typical barbershop group. From our dazzling costumes to our exciting choreography you are in for a visual and musical treat! Our musical selections range from traditional to contemporary--and everything in-between.
